Students will be provided a pre-test.  It will be keep in their folder and the same post-test will be given at the end of the school year.  The post-test will provide what students have retained during the school year.

Pre-test will be provided for all students and at the completion of the school year there will be a post-test provided to determine what students have retained.

 Students will demonstrate proficiency common to a specific skill in cosmetology. Demonstrate information technology skills.

 

 Demonstrate an understanding of Internet use and security issues.

 

 Demonstrate Telecommunication.

Students will be provided with a list of workplace readiness skills for the Commonwealth.  Students will be able to identify requirements for employment. Students will;

Instructional Procedure(s)

 

Orientation, registration forms will be handed out.

I will be instructing students on the class requirements.  Including the safety in the classroom, competencies, state board rubric, and class handbook.

 

After students complete their pretest they will begin workplace readiness skills. Power point presentation will be given on internet safety.

Workplace readiness

I will be covering workplace readiness skills beginning with number 1 through 7 which will cover; Task 1 Personal Qualities and People Skills.

Students will be provided with a copy of the 2020-2021 competencies. Hand book, state board rubric.

Students will know why studying infection control is important in working in a salon.  The current regulations for health and safety; Preventing the spread of disease by using precautions while becoming a professional.

Students will know how to clean and disinfect, sterilize to keep from spreading infection or diseases to protect their clients as well as themselves.
